The Goulburn Valley League has reshuffled its board five weeks into the season following a shock announcement.
League chair David Roff has taken a leave of absence which has seen Jacqui Hudgson step up into the role of acting board chair.
Hudgson, a GVL netball legend, has been a board member since 2017 and has been deputy chair since 2020.
Freddo McMahon will assume the position of acting deputy chair.
It is unclear when Roff’s leave of absence began.
However, the league did reveal that Roff will take three months’ leave from the position.
In a statement to The News, the GVL outlined that Roff would focus on other priorities during his leave of absence.
“GOTAFE Goulburn Valley League chairman David Roff has announced he will be taking a leave of absence from his role as GVL chairman and board member for a period of three months,” it read.
“During this period David will focus on some other priorities.
“In the interim, acting board chair will be Jacqui Hudgson and acting deputy chair will be Freddo McMahon.”
