In the women’s event it was the Tatura-Hill Top trio of Naomi and Olivia Cartwright and Dianne Downie who got the chocolates over their rivals.

In the men’s, Tallygaroopna’s Brett Wright, David Daws and Mark Ryan were far too strong for the rest of the pack.

The Tallygaroopna trio blitzed its Shepparton Park opponents 24 to 9.

Ryan earned a late call-up to the team and filled in for Matt Robertson who was unavailable to play.

The women’s and men’s state triples winners will partner up again in April at the State Champions Week.

The annual week-long event brings together the best bowlers from all 16 regions.

This year’s event will take place in Bendigo from April 30 to May 6.
