On a picture-perfect spring day, the racegoers witnessed a thrilling nine-race card, which culminated in the Daniel Stackhouse-ridden, Mark Walker-trained Midnight Blue romping home to win the listed $200,000 1600m Seymour Cup.
With extravagant displays of fashion, spectators dressed almost as colourfully as the jockeys in their silks.
There could only be four winners for best dressed though, as Michael McAlpine took out the prize for best dressed gentleman, Carley Owen for best dressed lady, Kelly Carty for best millinery and Thomas Carty for best dressed child.
