The 12-man squad was announced at the league presentation night, with Echuca and Rochester topping the representatives with three players each.
Curtis Townrow (Echuca)
Echuca’s top-order power-hitter was at his destructive best throughout the season, smashing 434 runs at an average of 86.80.
Townrow hit 255 of those runs in one glorious innings against Echuca South, setting the competition record for the highest individual one-day score.
Sandun Ranathunga (BLU)
Bamawm Lockington United’s star all-rounder was adept with bat and ball during the season.
Ranathunga hit 427 runs and claimed 21 wickets with his leg-spin, conceding an average of 8.7.
Sean Williams (Rochester)
Rochester skipper Williams led from the front all season, making the second-highest amount of runs in the McMahon Shield with 470, four half-centuries included.
With 14 wickets, it tops off an excellent season where Williams was yet another all-round sensation in the McMahon Shield.
Jack Russell (Moama)
Moama’s captain was another to enjoy a strong season with the willow and the Kookaburra.
Russell hit 367 runs averaging more than 50, but was just as important as a member of Moama’s pace attack with 15 wickets.
Dylan Cuttriss (Rochester)
Rochester stalwart Dylan Cuttriss had a fine season with the bat, hitting 353 runs.
Matthew Hinks (Echuca)
The Echuca all-rounder was one of his side’s best top-order bats, notching 334 runs in a productive season.
Taylor Beard (Echuca)
The Graham Turner medallist has enjoyed a season for the ages, belting 523 runs and taking 31 wickets, leading the competition in both categories.
Fraser Buchanan (Moama)
Moama’s wicketkeeper hit 344 runs and snared 15 catches behind the stumps, top-scoring with 115 in the final round of the season.
Angus Martin (Rochester)
Opening bowler Angus Martin was one of the competition’s premier strike bowlers, extracting 21 wickets at an average of 13.
Martin claimed best figures of 6-42.
Jackson Barnett (Kyabram Fire Brigade)
After the Christmas break, Barnett was one of most dangerous bowlers in the McMahon Shield.
Barnett roared to life to finish the season with 25 wickets against his name at an average of 10.
Sam Langley (Cooma)
Cooma’s bowling spearhead was on fire for the Two Blues in 2021-22, taking 23 wickets for the season.
Peter Moore (Nondies-Cohuna)
The experienced Moore linked up with Nondies-Cohuna for its maiden season in the competition, and now has the honour of being his club’s inaugural Team of the Year member on the back of his 21 wickets at an average of 9.05.
