The team was set to play the undefeated Keysborough at home on Saturday night and then travel to Coburg on Sunday before the Victorian Government announcement.
Waight said the most pleasing thing about the recent winning run was the number of contributors the team had had.
“We're looking for a contribution of everyone,” Waight said.
“We've had a spread of scorers and every one chipping in has gone along way to us getting the wins.”
The run of wins has also coincided with a stretch of home games, something Waight says keeps the group going.
“It's nice to play on our home court and it's been good that we have taken the wins on our court.”
Matt Bartlett has been a key player for the Shepparton outfit this season, averaging 19.19 points a game and 5.56 assists a clash.
His assists average is the equal best in the division one competition.
Sam Beks is Shepparton's best rebounder, averaging 7.67 a game, while Ian Wright averages 0.31 blocks a game to lead all Gators in that statistic.
