The final championship race heads to the heart of Australian racing — Mount Panorama at Bathurst.
Jacobson and his rivals will tackle the mountain for the famed Bathurst 1000.
The speed demon got behind the wheel on Thursday for the first open practice session, where Jacobson finished in 20th.
The Team Sydney driver enters the last race weekend of the campaign locked in 22nd spot on the championship standings.
The 29-year-old has been in a rich vein of form behind the wheel of his VZ Commodore.
In the recent four-week block of Supercars action, Jacobson enjoyed a 12th-place race finish and his best qualifying finish with Team Sydney — where he started 11th on the grid.
Jacobson will partner up with Dylan O’Keeffe for the Supercars’ holy grail race.
O’Keeffe is set to bring quality experience to the role.
Last year O’Keeffe — in his maiden appearance — finished 11th alongside Andre Heimgartner in the Kelly Racing Mustang.
Jacobson will be hoping for better luck this weekend than when he last visited the mountain in 2020.
Driving for Matt Stone Racing, Jacobson had his race cut short due to an oil leak; the car was retired on lap 60.
But with recent race improvement in his Team Sydney whip, Jacobson looks destined for a memorable outing this weekend.
Catch all of the action from the mountain this weekend on Channel 7, Kayo or Fox Sports. The Bathurst 1000 kicks off on Sunday, December 5, at noon.
