In a round nine encounter of the Cricket Shepparton Haisman Shield, Central Park-St Brendan’s showcased a dominant display, triumphing over Karramomus in a one-sided affair.

Dwain Vidler (Central Park): Vidler ruthlessly tore through the Karramomus batting order on his way to another five-wicket haul in a dominant victory.

This victory was especially sweet for Central Park, as it followed a disappointing defeat against the lesser-ranked Old Students in round eight.

The Tigers’ win was marked by an outstanding bowling performance, particularly from Dwain Vidler, who claimed five crucial wickets and caused major disruptions in the Karramomus line-up.

Vidler's exceptional spell, supported by Rhiley Lau's three wickets, restricted Karramomus to a modest total of 109 runs.

The only other notable contributions from Karramomus were Nathan Jones' brisk 23 runs off 18 balls and Zac Groombridge's steady 17.

However, their efforts were overshadowed by the disciplined Central Park bowling attack.

The batting side of the Tigers, needing a mere 110 to win, approached the chase with confidence.

Ramadan Yze's unbeaten 23 and Lau's aggressive 34 not out steered the team to a comfortable win.

The Karramomus bowlers, led by Zane Newbound with two wickets, tried to apply pressure, but were yet again unable to defend their low total.

This match was a testament to Central Park's resilience and ability to bounce back from adversity.

The team's all-round performance has set a high benchmark after embarrassment before the break, and a clash of the titans awaits against Waaia across the next fortnight.

Karramomus, on the other hand, will need to regroup once more, with note especially in the batting department, as it won’t get any easier against Katandra.
