The Goulburn Murray Bowls Region state finals have nearly concluded after an action-packed day at Strathmerton Bowls Club on Sunday.

Nine out of the 11 finals were played, with only the State Mixed Pairs match (scheduled for March 17 with the venue TBA) and the Men’s State Champion of Champions final (scheduled for March 17 at Strathmerton Bowls Club) still to be settled.
In the Women’s State Fours final, Shepparton Park-Numurkah Bowls Club defeated Barooga Sports Bowling Club 20 shots to seven.
Meanwhile, Kyabram defeated Numurkah Golf in the Women’s State Triples final 17 shots to six.
Shepparton Park got its second win of the day after defeating Numurkah Golf 18 shots to eight in the Women’s State Pairs final.
In the Women’s State Singles final, Cobram’s Kerry Baldacchino won her duel against Shepparton Park’s Kate Bush, 25 shots to 20.
While in the Women’s State Champion of Champions final, Numurkah Golf and Bowls Club’s Katrina Glover won the bragging rights after defeating Carla Miles from Shepparton Golf Bowling Club.
In the men’s competition, Tallygaroopna defeated Finley 15 shots to 10 in the State Fours final.
Meanwhile, in a nailbiting Men’s State Triples final, Katandra West defeated Tallygaroopna 20-19.
In the Men’s State Pairs final, Kyabram defeated Tocumwal Golf-Numurkah 12 shots to 10 in a tight finish.
Last but not least, Numurkah Golf’s Mark Jones defeated Tallygaroopna’s Mitch Sidebottom 25-24 in a memorable Men’s State Singles final.
