The western outfit prevailed by two games in a genuine white-knuckled affair, edging out Kialla Park Old Students Red 5-35 to 3-33.
Tatura Lawn Blue saw off Shepparton Lawn Blue 6-42 to 2-26 in B1 grade’s group one, while group two spoils were reserved for Shepparton Lawn Yellow after it defeated Shepparton North 5-41 to 3-26.
Arguably the game of the day arrived in B3 grade, where Nathalia Lawn Gold prevailed by a single game over Nathalia Lawn Purple in a 4-32 to 4-31 belter.
Another derby cropped up in C1 grade, with Shepparton Lawn Blue beating its White counterparts 5-41 to 3-26, while Blue also held firm in C2 to emerge with a 7-47 to 1-28 result over Mooroopna Lawn.
However, Mooroopna Cats did strike pay dirt in D1 with a 5-39 to 3-35 triumph over Katandra, while the final flag went to D2 premier Kialla Park Old Students.
