The first days of the CFA VFBV State Firefighter Championships were held at the weekend at Mooroopna Recreation Reserve.

Saturday and Sunday’s opening days of firefighting demonstrations put the Urban Juniors State Firefighter Championships in the spotlight.

Goulburn Valley children had the opportunity to try out various firefighting demonstrations and represent their fire brigades in team games.

The Urban Senior, Rural Junior and Rural Senior State Firefighting Championships will be held at Mooroopna Recreation Reserve this Saturday and Sunday.

The senior championships will have plenty of entertainment for attendees.

Firefighting equipment displays, training drills, souvenir stores, CFA department display areas, trade displays, food and beverage vans, covered seating and grandstands will keep the crowds engaged.
