The Jets are undefeated — along with Tatura — after wins against Kyabram and Karramomus.
In the rain-affected first round, Jets’ skipper Mitch Brett slapped an incredible 102 not out in the win over the Redbacks.
But the big-hitter took a back seat last week in the win over Karramomus, with Nick Breslin (49 not out) and Ben Pedretti (43 not out) both starring in the eight-wicket triumph.

Last Tuesday, December 14, Mooroopna travelled to Kialla Park to take on Old Students after the two sides missed out on playing in round one.
Mooroopna, fielding a youthful outfit, was able to take home the chocolates by four wickets.

Students’ up-and-comer Connor Hangan had his eye in and whacked a classy unbeaten 54 to lead the hosts to 3-126 from 20 overs.
Mooroopna managed to reach the target with four wickets and six balls in hand.

Tatura defended its total of 4-139 on the road against Euroa.
The Magpies fell 16 runs short of the target, despite an impressive 57-run knock off 43 deliveries from coach Andrew Squires.
Former Tatura captain and Greenvale Kangaroos talent Michael Archer spun a web and claimed 2-19.
Tatura pair Matt Cornwall (36 runs) and Raj Singh (32 not out) led the way with the bat.
Elsewhere, a damaging half-century by Shaun Downie steered Numurkah to victory over Katandra.

Downie crunched 57 at the top of the order as the Blues reached 4-139.
Katandra could only manage 6-103 in reply, with Blues’ coach Michael Eckard (2-6) and Bailey Smith (2-18) wreaking havoc with the ball.

Lastly, Kyabram opening bat Billy McLay spearheaded the Redbacks to victory over Shepparton United.
McLay punished United’s bowlers to all parts of Kyabram Recreation Reserve with his sublime 76-run knock off 55 deliveries.

His knock consisted of five boundaries and five sixes.
Kyabram managed to chase down United’s 5-142 in the 19th over and with seven wickets in hand.
United’s Steve Tate (40 not out) and Angus Lake (38 runs) were the pick of the away side’s batters.
Central Park-St Brendan’s faced the bye.
Round three action will return on January 20.
