Five teams will front up this season, with four of them making finals, which start on May 30.
In the opening round, Nathalia will host Mooroopna and Tatura will travel across the border to play Echuca at Moama.
The remaining side, Benalla, will have to wait until round two against Nathalia to pull on the boots, as it has a bye in the opening round.
The fixture features 10 rounds, a competition-wide bye for Easter, a preliminary final and grand final, scheduled for Sunday, June 6.
While most games will be played on Sunday afternoons, Friday night football will be played in round six, as forecast by league administrator Sam Wood earlier this year.
Round six coincides with the Anzac Day weekend and the two matches will be played at 6.30pm on Friday, April 23.
Wood said clubs were looking forward to getting back to competitive football after last year's season was cancelled.
“The season has shaped up really well,” Wood said.
“We would have liked to have a couple more sides, but those that are playing have taken a lot out of the Atwork Cup and are ready to get into competitive footy again.
“Rumbalara and Shepparton Bears weren't able to gather enough players this year, but have already started discussions for next year so they are ready for then.
“We thought we may have got Shepp United, but they have plans to be in next year's competition (too).”
When asked what games he was looking forward to watching, Wood said "all of them".
“Everyone is looking forward to having local football back,” he said.
“Any game we get out will be great and I think it will be a close competition this year.”
