Talented Cooma cricketer Cooper Fawcett played an innings to remember on Saturday, January 18.
It wasn’t so much the unbeaten 195 runs Fawcett plundered from the Nondies Cohuna attack in the Goulburn Murray Cricket B-grade competition, but how he got them.
Like an amazing 43 off the last over he faced.
Yes, 43. He went from 152 to 195 in that final over.
There were five no balls in this over and Fawcett helped himself to nine fours as well.
In his innings, he hit 20 fours and two sixes.
One of these sixes went out of sight and landed on the Cooma pavilion.
Fawcett, 21, spent the last Australian winter playing county cricket in England where he gained a lot of experience and made two centuries.
