“It was a very hard-fought grand final,” division one team manager Pat Schram said.
“We were about 20 shots behind at the halfway mark, but we came back.
“Ian Page’s rink had a good win, and Roma Opie’s had a hard round, but only lost by three after being down by 12.
“We only hit the lead at the 50th end out of 63.
“Ian scored a four and Roma scored a four, that was the turning point, and it gave us a bit of momentum.”

Elsewhere, Echuca also won the championship in division’s two and four, a huge result for the club overall.
“It’s amazing for the club to win more than one division and to win three out of four is great,” Schram said.
“We’re a club based on volunteers.
“We’re very excited, and excited for everybody (involved).
“Division 4 was won on the last bowl by Tony Deenen’s rink with everyone watching, which was particularly exciting.”
