Five representatives from Echuca Clay Target Club travelled to the Tasmanian State Down the Line Carnival, held last weekend.

Day one saw Rob “Poppa” Viney shoot a blistering 125/125 in the Champion of Champions event with three perfect rounds to secure the overall title against 170 other competitors from around Australia.
Kerrie Dean shot a respectable 46/50 on day two in the double rise to secure first in the overall ladies’ category as well as the overall position in the B-grade.
Neil Ham shot an impressive 43/50 in the double rise to secure first overall in the C-grade division.
On day three, young gun Patterson Eeles stole the show, shooting a perfect 50/50 double barrel in difficult conditions.

The youngster progressed to a hotly-contested shoot-off, securing first overall in the junior division.
In drizzly day four conditions, sharpshooter Andrew Fiek took his chance to shine.
Andrew shot a perfect 150/150 in the point scoring championship, progressing to the shoot-off for top spot alongside five other competitors.
Andrew went on to secure first place and the overall state title.
The North East Zone Trap Carnival is at the Echuca Clay Target Club next Sunday, February 12.
