Division 2 turned the tables on Tongala - having been beaten by that team the week before - when they claimed a hard-fought victory, 55 shots to 52, despite losing on two of the three rinks.
Craig Hillier’s side, including Andrew Holloway, Glenn Thomson and Bruce Clancy were always chasing before going down 12-20, and Terry Taylor, Jill Grimshaw, David Hessel and Rob Morris (skip) failed by a solitary shot.
This team fought back from 11-18 down to lead by two with one end to play.
They conceded a three on the last however to go under, 21 shots to 22.
The final team of Bryan Kemnitz (s), Tony Danckert, Peter Todd and Steve King was always in control in cruising to a solid 22-10 win, which secured the overall three shot victory.
They will now play Echuca at Echuca in the preliminary final on Saturday.
Division 5 also claimed a comfortable eight shot win against Moama to progress straight to the grand final at Lockington in a fortnight, where they will play either Moama again or Deni RSL.
Lloyd Ritchie called the shots for Mick Atley, Matt Crothers and Lee Pattinson on their way to a five shot win, 21 shots to 16.
Lloyd was particularly effusive in his praise for the top performance of the inexperienced Crothers, playing in only his sixth pennant match.
The other combination of Col Knuckey(s), Winnie Pattinson, Bill Young and Tony King also got the job done when they prevailed 18-15, and ensured the overall victory, 39 shots to 31.
