Jayne Hood and Ian Campbell were part of a unique winning double in the monthly medal, played at Deniliquin Golf Club on Saturday.

Both featured in the C-grade medal and both won respective ladies and men’s medals.
Jayne had nett 69 to take out C-grade and the ladies' medal, and beat Ian on countback for C-grade, but he took out the men’s monthly medal.
A-grade winner was Digger Ring with nett 70 on countback to John Radeski, and B-grade winner was Geoff King nett 72 on countback to Jason Kerr.
It was great to see so many visitors on the course at the weekend, as well as enjoying the clubhouse and its facilities.
An excellent crowd enjoyed quality meals and plenty of fun in the raffle on Friday night.
Last Thursday there were 18 and 9 holes stableford events.
The 18 holes winner was Jake Foley with an impressive 42 points from runner-up Linda Brant 38, and 9 holes winner was Pauline Sherwin with 18 points from runner-up Marg Marshall 16.
On Wednesday, the A-grade winner was Gary Stephens with 41 points from runner-up Geoff Corboy 37, and B-grade winner Graeme Rothwell 39 from runner-up Gary Freckleton 38.
On Monday this week, a contingent of Deniliquin golfers led the way when Goulburn Valley Vets played a challenge against Central District for the Tom Downie Shield.
Best score for GV was recorded by John Penna with 38 points, and Rusell Begg helped the cause with 35.
Peter O’Brien and Graeme Willoughby were winners in the ball comp, while Penna and Willoughby were respective A-grade nearest-the-pin winners.
GV defeated Central Districts 1200 to 1146.
This weekend we have the popular Autumn Classic, sponsored again by Purtills and Wired Entertainment.
It is a fourball best ball stableford with 18 holes on Saturday and Sunday, plus a 36 hole event, for men and women.
Entries have closed, but a late entry may be taken if there is a spot available in the field.
Next week there is 9 holes stroke on Tuesday, stableford on Wednesday, 9 and 18 holes stableford on Thursday, then stableford again on Saturday.
Our junior golfers have been invited to the inaugural 2025 Peter Fraser Junior Golf Classic at Kyabram Parkland on March 30.
There are 18 hole and 9 hole events for 18 years and under golfers, with handicap and non-handicap welcome.
