Cobram hosted Nathalia off the back of its win the week before seeking to turn its hopes of returning to a grand final into reality.
On Saturday, March 1, the Tigers won the toss and chose to open the two-day contest with the bat.
Hugh Hyde (26 from 123) appeared at the top of the host’s batting order, followed in due course by a steady succession of Cobram’s strongest batters through to the middle of the order.
Cobram co-coach Lachlan Hyde (26 from 64) shared the spoils with Shaun Downie (33 from 47), with Hyde’s younger brother Eamon having a go with the bat, adding a further eight from 25 at the bottom of the order.

Adam Decicco (42 from 84) top-scored for the day and the match in the end, lending his hand to ease the Tigers all-out for 192 in the 79th over.
For Nathalia, Ash Quinn continued his fine form with the ball, claiming 4-43, while Jason Mckenna helped out with 2-26.
The second day of the match arrived on Sunday, March 2, and Nathalia took its turn with the willow.
But whatever aspirations the visitors had to clean up with the bat by chasing Cobram’s 192 were quickly thrown into contention when Decicco (6-25) decided to put on a show and dismantle Nathalia’s top-order wicket by wicket.

Cobram co-coach Lachlan Hyde said it was the best he’s ever seen Decicco with the ball.
“It was fantastic the way he went about it,” Hyde said.
Hyde was impressed by the staying power of teammates Jeremy Baden and Eamon Hyde.
“The way they dug in and batted those last overs to keep Nathalia out there for as long as possible, on a hot day, was great by both of them,” he said.
Ewan Congues (27 from 110, not-out) top-scored for Nathalia, and his side’s woes continued to accumulate until it was all out for 71 in the 36th over.
The Tigers took the spoils by 121 runs, booking themselves a date in the big dance with top-of-the-ladder Deniliquin this weekend at Berrigan.
Hyde was proud of how his side put in a collective effort to get the result they needed.
“I thought the way we all went about it as a team was fantastic,” he said.
