Coming into open the batting after the Lodgers were sent in, Webber took control of the innings from the first ball, with the Cats’ bowlers simply powerless to stop his exquisite stroke play.
A knock that included a whopping 28 boundaries, with 12 of those being maximums, Kialla West Recreation Reserve became Webber’s kingdom for the day as his teammates sat back in awe of what was unfolding.
The powerful opener also received support from his top order counterparts, putting on a 139-run stand with Ryan Sutherland (47) and 75-run partnership with Seamus Kearney (15).
Webber was eventually dismissed in the dying overs, with Pine Lodge registering a monstrous first innings total of 303.
Needing a miracle to get within striking distance of the total, Mooroopna started promisingly as Jake Summers orchestrated a classy 60 to put some sort of pressure on the Lodgers’ bowlers.
But unfortunately for the Cats, nobody could stay with the number three, with a consistent flow of wickets down the other end costing the visitors dearly.
Manjit Singh was the star with the ball for Pine Lodge taking 3-38, while Webber continued his extraordinary day with 2-36, as the Mooroopna innings ended on 197 after 31.3 overs.

Will Adams did his best to try and will United to its first win of the season, carrying the chase with a scintillating 78 not out.
But it wouldn’t be enough for the visitors, as an inspired spell of 3-31 by Dillon Shelley helped restrict them to 9-185 from their 40 overs.
Old Students and Karramomus rounded out the D-grade winners’ list with wins over Central Park-St Brendan’s and Northerners respectively.

Batting first, the Lakers got off to a solid start courtesy of Brian Morris (33) and Angus Murray (33), as they looked to build a solid total.
But just as it looked like they were about to get away from the Bombers, Dylan Cornick (3-13) and David Booth (2-7) took control, ripping through the Nagambie middle order to restrict it to 136 from 36 overs.
With an enthralling chase of 137 set up, Waaia was coasting at the start as Booth (50) and Ben Daniel (48) seemingly had it on the road to a dominant victory.
Enter Bush.
Coming into the attack late in the piece, the youngster turned the game on its head in a five-over spell, taking four wickets and going for six runs to put his team back in the contest.
With the game on a knife’s edge, the experience of the Bombers’ tail would win out in the end, as Ashley Dohnt came in at number seven and hit the winning runs.
