Cricket clubs throughout the Goulburn Valley are urged to lodge an application for the 2023-24 Australian Cricket Infrastructure Fund, with applications now open for the funding stream.
It aims to provide funding for community cricket facility projects, with a focus on growing participation and promoting greater access at the grassroots level.
James Allsopp, Cricket Australia’s executive general manager of community cricket, said he looks forward to aiding the growth of the game for another year.
“Cricket Australia is proud to join Cricket Victoria and the Australian Cricketers Association to deliver the Australian Cricket Infrastructure Fund (ACIF) across the 2023-24 season,” he said.
“The ACIF has delivered over 330 projects to the Victorian cricket community across the past five years.
“This funding has provided new and improved infrastructure to support the growth of cricket and to facilitate brilliant experiences for participants, volunteers, and officials.
“CA looks forward to another successful year supporting quality projects via the ACIF.”
All clubs, associations, schools, councils and cricket facility managers can apply for the ACIF, which is available in two funding streams: minor and major.
The minor Community Cricket Infrastructure Grant ranges from $1000 to $15,000 while the major category can supplement cash from $15,001 to $40,000.
Applications in excess of $40,000 will be considered on a case-by-case basis under the Strategic Cricket Infrastructure Funding category.
The maximum grant amount available is up to 50% of the total project cost.
