Three young members of the Deniliquin Rovers Football & Netball Club have been recognised for going “above and beyond” for the club in 2024 season.
At the club’s junior presentation day on Sunday, Amelie Bulmer was awarded the Wired Entertainment Medal for Junior Netball Club Person.

Landon Flisher and Henry Learmonth were then announced as joint winners of the Dowling Medal for Junior Football Club Person.
The medal recipients are decided by surveying club committee members, officials, coaches and even supporters.
As well as being a fierce competitor on the netball courts, Amelie Bulmer volunteers her time for numerous club events.
She assists in the canteen on Saturdays, before and after her games, and is often helping out at Thursday night dinners.
She also helps out at fundraising events and working bees, alongside her parents, Wally and Shannon Bulmer.
Landon umpired every single senior game of the season this year, even after lacing up the boots in the thirds.
He also boundary umpired a number of reserves games, and also helps by stacking the fridges and with match data input.
Landon also helps his mother Beck Flisher with some of her committee take, and lends a hand at club fundraisers and working bees.
Henry has also taken to boundary umpiring after playing footy on a Saturday, offering his services for numerous senior and reserve games throughout the season.
He also stacks wood for the fires and volunteers in the canteen on Saturdays and for Thursday night dinners.
The other special award presented on Sunday was to Ava Braybon, who received the Loris Wills Junior Umpire Encouragement Award.

Under-11s: Coach’s Award - Myla Parker. All players received a participation medal.
Under-13s: Best & Fairest - Nina Glowrey; Runner-Up Best & Fairest- Lilly Boyer; Coach’s Award - Jorja Woolston; Best in Finals - Nina Glowrey, Lilly Boyer and Ava Braybon.
Under-15s: Best & Fairest - Bae Willis; Runner-Up Best & Fairest - Amy Holloway; Coach’s Award - Isabell Macknight; Best in Finals - Ruby Cowley.
Under-17s: Best & Fairest - Hazel Glowrey; Runner-Up Best & Fairest - Amy Holloway; Coach’s Award - Lucy Herberte.
Football
Fifths: Coach’s Award - Beau Jervis. All fifths players received a participation medal.
