In the Thursday 9-hole stableford competition the winner was Colin McNamara with 18 points on c/b Trevor McCaw.
Saturday was stableford and the women’s winner was Sharon Pyle 32 points on c/b Gai Singleton. NTP Sharon Pyle. Jerilderie
On Wednesday, a cheery group enjoyed a stableford medley, with Margo Gregory winning the day with 36 points; r/u on countback Kerrie McLennan. NTP: 7th Heather Cameron, 13th Heather Cameron, 16th Kerrie McLennan. Suz Graham had a fantastic gobbler on the 18th; what a way to finish the round.
A large number of volunteers contributed to a successful working bee last Saturday, with the greens being cored, seeded and fertilised. This work has meant that the course was closed from Saturday and will reopen this Friday, March 14.
Tocumwal
The women’s opening day event was held last Tuesday, when 56 women played in the stableford multiplier and afterwards enjoyed a 2-course lunch in the clubhouse. Winners were Shellei Clark and Mary McMahon with 84, r/u Cheryl Hart and Kerry Conrad 81 c/b.
On Wednesday, the men’s competition was stableford. A-grade: Ray Watmore 39, r/u Ronny Huy 38, 3rd Malcolm Dickson 36 c/b. B-grade: Donovan Tainton 43, r/u Michael Taylor 38, 3rd Hiram Garlick 37 c/b. C-grade: Ricky Bourke 38, r/u John Baker 37 c/b Greg Hales. D Grade: Ray Hehir 37, r/u Ian McFarlane 36, 3rd Kevin Cooper 35 c/b. James McMaster had an eagle on 3C and Donovan Tainton an eagle on 11C.

On Sunday 81 men including many visitors played par on the captain’s course.

Southern Riverina Veterans
The Southern Riverina Veterans Golf Association March competition was a stableford event played at Cobram Barooga on Monday with 90 golfers taking part.
A-grade winner was Steven Webster from Yarrawonga with 35 points on countback to Ron Huy from Tocumwal. Graeme Landy from Cobram Barooga with 37 points claimed B-grade, with Maurice Adams (Cobram Barooga) the runner-up on 36.
Tony Maynard (Cobram Barooga) won C-grade with 35 points from runner-up Jim Oakley (Tocumwal) on 34.
