Leading the charge was Paul Glanvill’s rink, delivering an impressive 28-11 win.
Returning from a brief hiatus, Laurie Way showcased superb form, supported by the consistent efforts of Kelly Milich and Rachel Glanvill.
Their combined performance set a strong foundation for the team's overall success.
Rick Bradbury’s rink also contributed significantly, securing a narrow 26-24 win.
Bradbury and Graeme Clements demonstrated excellent synergy throughout the match, while Jason Milich and Matt Hansen provided solid support, though they acknowledge room for improvement as they head into the grand final.
Despite a close 21-22 loss, Roger Reynoldson’s rink maintained consistency and competitiveness all day.
Gary Seamer excelled at third, with Graeme Parr leading well and Alex Dalgliesh stepping in effectively when needed.
After three narrow defeats to Cobram this season, the Curlews are determined to turn the tide in the grand final this Saturday at home.
For the first time this season, the team will enter the match without any forced changes from the previous week, adding to their confidence.
In individual achievements, Paul Glanvill stormed into the final of the Murray Bowls Champion of Champions Men’s singles at Cobram on Sunday with a commanding 25-13 win over David Cartwright of Wunghnu.
Although Glanvill faced a tough opponent in Mark Jones from Numurkah Golf in the final, losing 7-25, he can take pride in his overall performance in the event.
Unfortunately, last week's barefoot bowls was cancelled due to green maintenance in preparation for the grand final.
The popular event will resume this week, starting at 6.15pm.
Don’t miss out on the fun and excitement.
