Applications have opened for interested parties to participate in the 2025 Euroa Electorate Bowls Tournament, set to be held at the iconic Parliament of Victoria.
A chance awaits for locals to roll on the oldest lawn bowls green in Victoria that is still in use, and after the maiden success of the event in 2024, March 17 is building as another blockbuster edition to attend.
Last year, 24 players from 10 clubs across the region competed for the title of electorate champions in a condensed format of two games consisting of eight ends.
The representing clubs hailed from Seymour, Violet Town, Nagambie, Benalla, Euroa, Heathcote, Seymour VRI, Murchison, Swanpool, and Avenel.
With a little over a month left until the tournament, Nationals’ Member for Euroa Annabelle Cleeland was rapt to open applications for another year.
“This tournament is a fantastic opportunity for friendly competition and community connection, bringing together clubs from right across our region,” she said.
“I encourage all interested bowlers to reach out to their local clubs and register for what promises to be another memorable event.
“It’s also a chance to welcome more people to the historic Parliament of Victoria, to experience its significance firsthand and see how decisions made here directly impact our communities.
“I look forward to sharing the joy of bowls again next year and strengthening the bonds within our bowls community.”
Participants will also be treated to a light lunch and a guided tour of Parliament House to complement the bowls action.
