The Redeyes held their heads up high this week, despite a tough day in the heat.
Blighty had Eliza Bradford return this week playing a terrific game in the mid-court.
Steph Carter pulled on the red and white dress for the first time, showing her great ability to drive in the mid-court.
All the girls worked tirelessly playing numerous different positions and continuing to develop as a team.
The score did not reflect the effort and commitment the girls showed.

B-Grade: Blighty 10 def by Deni Rovers 61.
In the peak of the afternoon sun, the girls stepped out onto the court in high spirits.
Each player put in 100 per cent the entire game.
Neveah Webb played wonderfully in defence and even centre.
Stevie Bateman worked hard in goals and stepped into centre doing a fabulous job.
Cody Mitchell played her first game at Blighty and showed great movement and determination in goals.
The girls kept pushing despite being exhausted. Lots of positives to take away from the game as we continue to develop as a team.

C-grade: Blighty 11 def by Deni Rovers 59.
It was a warm afternoon as Blighty C-grade took on a strong Deni Rovers side in round two.
From the first whistle, the girls brought plenty of enthusiasm and spirit, determined to give it their all.
Amelia Fraser, Ciara D’Aprile, Mikayla Collie and Ruby Murphy were standouts through the mid-court, showing great teamwork and versatility as they shifted across positions to keep the game flowing.
Down back, Niccola Stanworth and Sarah Bain worked tirelessly in defence, applying constant pressure and racking up some impressive turnovers to keep Deni’s scoring in check.
Up the other end, the attacking partnership of Emma Brain and Rachel Bucholtz continued to shine.
Their connection and movement in the ring were fantastic to watch and kept the scoreboard ticking.
Plenty of positives to take from this game, and the team is looking forward to building on this solid performance.

C-Reserve: Blighty 5 def by Deni Rovers 81.
Round two against Deni Rovers had the girls feeling a mix of nerves and excitement as they lined up against the top team.
The girls worked hard all game against a strong Rovers team.
They gave it everything they had in what was a tough but spirited game.
The mid-court worked tirelessly to contain a strong Rovers with Georgia Brydon, Jess Butcher, Sarah Van Soest and Lauryn Bond doing a fabulous job driving the ball and applying defensive pressure.
In defence, Grace Ingram and Grace Macdonald had their hands full but stood strong doing a stellar job under pressure.
Alena Larmour worked hard in GA trying tirelessly to get the ball in the ring.
It was great to see Lara Elphinstone back on court and hope she recovers quickly.
We also welcomed our veteran Chris Hall back, whose presence is always a boost to the team.
All in all a good game from the Blighty girls and plenty to take away and learn from.

Under-17s: Blighty 15 def by Deni Rovers 68.
Blighty met rivals Deni Rovers on a very hot Saturday.
Rovers are a very strong outfit, who proved very challenging for our girls who fought hard all day, but Rovers were too good.
Millie Hamner worked tirelessly all day taking many intercepts and attacking down the court and was awarded best on court.
Unfortunately, Amelia Hay was subbed out with injury early and we sorely missed our play maker and determination.
The heat was difficult, yet we saw the game out with several great passages of play.
Paige Manson tried hard all day and has improved enormously in a short time.
Ash Charlton worked hard all day a strong presence in the attack end.
The Redeyes keep learning and building, still early days and keep enjoying your netball.

Under-15s: Blighty 10 def by Deni Rovers 43.
The team had to face the heat this round against our rivals Deni Rovers.
The first quarter was tough but the girls fought hard to bring the ball down the court.
Cassady Sibraa consistently drove to the ball, always creating an option.
The girls created great passages of play.
Ivy Ball and Emma Taylor both helped guide the ball down the court in the centre.
Lily Petersen and Savannah Bain worked hard in defence turning the ball over many times.
Ellie Miller, Lena Seely and Lucy Pisasale did great in the wings, working hard for the ball.
Kyah Watson once again shot great goals for the team.
Unfortunately, our opposition was strong, and the heat soared. All the girls gave it their all.

Under-13s: Blighty 21 def Deni Rovers 9.
Blighty and Rovers had a tight, low scoring match with both teams defending well to limit shooting opportunities.
Kaydnce Sibraa was pivotal for Blighty creating play through the mid-court and switching into defence to hold out shooters.
First year players Isla Andrews and Georgie Butcher showed great improvement causing turnovers and moving the ball through the mid-court.
With all team members contributing in hot conditions it was a terrific game with great sportsmanship and the possibility of an exciting season ahead for the Blighty Redeyes.

Saturday saw us up against Deni Rovers, a later game in the heat for the team.
The girls did really well, applying themselves and having a great time out on the court.
We look forward to Easter and return to a home game against Berrigan.
