Round 12 leading into the Australia Day Weekend was a T20 on Thursday night.
Berrigan hosted Barooga in what was expected to be a close match. Barooga won the toss and elected to bat.
The Saints struck early through Rory Barltett (2/23) removing Murphy Stephens for a Duck caught. Riyaad Henry (57) and Zach Dunn (43NO) joined together to put on 87 runs for the second wicket.
They turned the strike over and Henry took advantage of any loose delivery by the Saints. Jeremy Packer (1/10) struck removing Henry Caught in the deep with the score on 96.
The Saints bowling improved with constant wickets with Crue Lucus (5), Jonathon Oliver (8) and Brendan Lewis (1) with Barooga finishing at 5/145 after their 20 overs.
In reply, the Saints started poorly with Matt Ross caught for 1.
Tight bowling didn't allow the saints to score freely, however good running between wickets kept them in the match. Connor Thornton (21) and Jacob Barlett (5) got the score to 33 before Bartlett was bowled by Henry (2/3).
This started a run of wickets for the Saints with Luke Melville for first ball duck, Andrew Parr (9), Connor Thornton (21) and Rory Bartlett (8) were dismissed with the Saints collapsing to 6/55. Brady Bartlett and Grant Martin added 30 runs to the score before Martin was bowled for 7.
Jermey Packer joined Bartlett in the middle and the two closed the innings out for the Saints, finishing 7/113 after their 20 overs with Bartlett 39 Not Out and Packer five Not Out. For Barooga Henry, Sam Leigh and Kohen Haddrell all finished with 2 wickets.
This week, two day cricket resumes with the Saints travelling to Katamatite.
