The Crocodiles, Gareth Burnell and Mick Kelly, had a 4-1 win over the Yellowbellies, James Depio and Paul Shea. Gareth beat James in straight sets. Mick won in three against Paul. The Crocodiles won the doubles in a four-set match. James got his team on the board winning a five-set classic against Mick. Gareth won in four over Paul.
The two Stephens, Lane and Mahon, of the Taipans won 4-1 against the Kangas, Michelle Feldtmann and Patrick Cornell. Lane beat Michelle in four sets. Mahon had a straight-sets win over Patrick. The Taipans won the doubles in three. Michelle won a five-set match against Mahon and Lane beat Patrick in three.
The Possums, Shaun Murphy and Xavier Rhodes, beat the All Stars, Rob Erskine and Flynn Mosley, 3-2. Shaun won in straight sets over Rob. Xavier beat Flynn in four. The possums won a four-set doubles match. Shaun won in four against Flynn and Rob beat Xavier in four.
The Owls, John Bajada and Wesley Shea, won 4-1 against the Redbacks, Phil Keast and Chris Goode. John beat Phil in three sets. Wesley beat Chris in four sets. The Owls won the doubles in straight sets. Phil beat Wesley in three sets. John beat Chris in four sets.
The Galahs, Sienna Bajada and Christian Squires, had a 5-0 victory over the Plovers, Matt Parkinson and Jorge Abaunza. All matches were straight sets except for Christian's four-set win over Jorge.
B-grade
The Gliders, Pauline Hooper and Brian Perry, won 3-2 against the Frogs, Carol Perry and Elliot McCallum. Carol beat Pauline in straight sets. Brian beat Elliot in three. Jamie Perry substituted for Pauline in the doubles to team up with Brian, producing a straight-sets win for the Gliders. Pauline won in three over Elliot and Carol won in three against Brian.
The Wombats, Trent Kelly and John Spencer, won 3-2 against the Joeys, Graeme Sharp and Andrew Morris. Trent beat Graeme in four sets. John won in three against Andrew. The doubles was very close, with the Joeys winning in five sets. Trent won against Andrew in three sets and Graeme had a straight-sets win against John.
The Bullants, Mehdi Zamani and Lois Hermiston, won 4-1 against the Cockies, Alejandro Diaz and Beth Grant. Mehdi came from two sets down to beat Alejandro in five. Lois beat Beth in straight sets. The Cockies won a four-set doubles match. Mehdi won another classic five-set match against Beth. Lois continued the trend with a five-set win against Alejandro.
The Rosellas, Ray Grant and Andy Donaldson, won 4-1 against the Numbats, Chris Seely and Laurence Donaldson. Ray beat Chris in four sets. Andy won in three against Laurence. The Rosellas won the doubles in four sets. Chris beat Andy in three. Ray beat Laurence in four sets.
C-grade
The Crows, Christine Nicholas and Josh Kirley, won 4-1 against the Magpies, Kaye Grosser and Lily Kipping. Kaye beat Christine in three sets. Josh beat Lily in three. The Crows had a straight-sets win in the doubles. Christine beat Lily in three sets. Josh won a great battle with Kaye in five sets.
The Falcons, Andrea Cathcart and Colin McFarlane, beat the Doves, Greg Cornell and Jack Erickson 4-1. Andrea beat Greg in five close sets. Colin won in three over Jack. Greg won in four over Colin and Andrea had a straight-sets win over Jack.
John Bajada Sr filled in at the last minute to play for the Jays with Peter Cruickshanks, playing against the Finches, Helen Hyland and Val Kipping. Helen beat Peter in straight sets. Val won a five-set match against John. The Jays won the doubles in five sets. Helen won in four over John and Val beat Peter, also in four, giving the Finches a 4-1 victory.
