Bears showed great endurance and patience against a competitive Berrigan side. It was great to see the team stand up together and even with some new additions to the team play out four strong quarters.
Well done Emma Thompson who made her A grade debut and was an essential element of the attacking end with great timing and drives down the court.

B Grade
Tungamah 52 defeated Berrigan 22.
The girls have been implementing everything they have been working hard at training and it shows with a great game against Berrigan on Saturday. The midcourt started off strong together really focusing on their space on the court and following through with strong drives, getting it down to the shooters. Both Carly and Kara created plenty of options and used their space, both the girls shot amazingly.
Defensive pressure was used all the way down the court especially in the oppositions goal end providing plenty of rebounds, intercepts and turnovers from Felicity, Alice and Emily who absolutely dominated her half of the game in GD.
Awards: Tungamah Hotel - Carly and Miss Dolly – Mariah.
C Grade
Tungamah 39 defeated by Berrigan 42.
A fast starting Berrigan caught the Bears off guard in the first quarter which saw Tungamah allow them a 6 goal lead at quarter time. Some positional changes and a more settled team effort after quarter time saw the team bring the gap down to 2 goals and both half and three-quarter time. Grace and Di worked well in defence for their first game together for the season.
Some very accurate shooting put extra pressure on them but they were up for the challenge.
Lauren added a new dynamic in WA with strong drives through the attacking end and solid feeding into the goals.
The last quarter saw the Bears take the lead by 1 goal but they faded in the last 5 minutes of the game which allowed Berrigan to put on a few quick goals to win the game by 3.
A strong fight back by the team to not give up on the game after a shaky start. Time to put in a solid couple of weeks at training to move into the second half of the season.
Thanks to Charli and Jenny for being the extras on the bench and to Di and Ally for giving the C Grade some extra options in defence.
Awards: Best on - Grace Whitelock Wingates, Coaches award - Lauren Mason Ricky Ds Pizza, Coaches award - Ally Cooper Rich Glen.

After a two week break from netball C Res were ready to play. Training over the break saw the team work very hard on their set ups and forward movement.
A fantastic start saw a quarter time score of 9-1. A couple of changes of positions in the second quarter and the half time score was 18-4.
The team continued to play the Tungamah brand of netball and took out the win by 21 goals. Danielle Sidebottom scored 30 of the final score of 37 and was very well supported in goals by Jasmine Walker and Sophie Figgins.
Jess Arnold played a beautiful captains game in the midcourt, working so well with Amy Hollister and Bella Lonergan (in for her first game this season).
Cait Sinclair kept pulling in rebounds against a very tall attack and, together with Ruby Thomas and Jade Ralph, gave the Berrigan shooters limited opportunities.
Congratulations on your first win C Res - you played so well as a team, giving each other plenty of options, support and backup.
