The club is also pleased to introduce its Naming Partners program, an initiative to recognise the local businesses that support each of the club’s junior teams.
In particular, the club wishes to recognise and thank Bowden Constructions (under-17s), Mon Foods (under-15s), Macheda Transport (under-13s) and Sun Country Turf (under-11s) as their naming partners for the junior grades this season.
Barooga Cricket Club secretary Jordan Flanagan said the club had outlined its goal in a newly minted strategic plan.
The new plan emphasises “the importance of increasing participation, particularly among junior players, to ensure the long-term viability and success both on and off the field”.
“Our juniors are the lifeblood of our club, and we are really excited about creating an environment where young people and their families can enjoy and thrive being part of the Barooga Cricket Club community,” she said.
On Thursday, October 10, the club is kicking off its season with a welcome and registration night.
Old and new players and families and friends are invited to join the club in celebrating the start of a new season.
