The Rochester Bowls Club will be hosting the friendly, footwear-free event in partnership with the Campaspe Shire Council.
Council Director of Community Safety and Recovery Shannon Maynard is looking forward to the second barefoot session, with another session to come in December.
“Our recovery team is partnering with the Rochester Bowls Club to bring some fun evening events to the community,” Mr Maynard said.
“The three barefoot bowls events are all about providing an opportunity for Rochester residents to come together for an afternoon of fun, a barefoot game of bowls and a free barbecue.
“Our recovery team will be there, and they are looking forward to connecting with the community on a social level.
“These events are creating opportunities for flood-affected communities to reconnect.”
Participants at the event will receive a free meal and the opportunity to buy an alcoholic drink at bar prices.
“A free barbecue dinner will be provided, so bookings are essential, and people can contact the Recovery Hub to book,” Mr Maynard said.
The event this Wednesday will run from 6pm-7.30pm, with the final of the three events to be held on Wednesday, December 13.
Rochester Bowls Club is located at 31 Victoria St.
