Ladies Singles Minor Championships
Matches were played early on October 1st and 2nd.
Both Matches were extremely close.
Julie Holmquest defeated Wendy Robb.
Jenny Lawrence defeated Lynne Ewison.
The Final will be played at a Date TBA.
Julie will play Jenny.
Mens Minor Singles Championships
This event has been well supported by our men, with eighteen entries this season, which is a positive response early in the season.

This week a snack will be provided at a nominal cost to members, another social event at Corowa RSL and the Wrong Bias Bar.
It's been pleasing to see so many members attain the RSA certificate, they have been assisting in the bar, "many hands helpful"! Thank you.
Good bowling for the upcoming Pennant Bowls, Weekend Pennant commences on October 12 and Midweek on October 15.
Corowa Civic Bowls Club
Social bowls on Wednesday had a good turnout of players in lovely sunshine.
The winners were – Annette Norman, Steve Rodway and Brian McCarthy.
Runners-up were Lynton Ford and Eileen Ide. Third were – Alex Martin and John Dalgleish.
On Saturday we hosted a pennant practice game against our neighbours Rutherglen.
A BBQ took place before the game, a big thank you to Ray, Brendan and Don for looking after the cooking, also to some of the ladies for their help. Thank you, Rutherglen, for a great friendly match.
We have been advised by O & M Bowls that they have had to revise the Midweek draw owing to a couple of teams pulling out. Both our teams in B section will now play in B2. The teams are named Corowa Civic 1 and Corowa Civic 2.
Weekend Pennant gets underway on Saturday, October 12 with A2 playing their game at Howlong. B2 will be home to Beechworth and B3 will play away at Corowa RSL.
Midweek starts their season on Tuesday, October 15. A1 will be home to Wodonga, B2 Side 1 play Club Mulwala at home and B2 Side 2 will travel to Commercial.
After training on Thursday afternoon there will be a get-together with eats available.
Another round of the Ladies Pairs was played during the week with Marie Lewsey and Maureen Hutson defeating Genise McFarlane and Eileen Ide.
The final will be held on Wednesday morning between Lynne Pyke and Margaret Watson against Marie Lewsey and Maureen Hutson.
Entries are now open for the Men’s and Ladies Club Singles.
The first round will be on Sunday, October 20 at 9.30am.
The entry sheet is on the notice board, add your name before closing date of Sunday, October 13.
