Coming into the fixture, the former Carlton midfielder had kicked two goals in her past 29 games, but when the game was there to be won, Egan came to the fore and kicked two goals in the space of three minutes to seal the points for the Tigers.
Her 18 disposals and seven tackles had her named best-on-ground.
Richmond’s fifth straight win puts it well on track for an AFLW finals berth.
Meanwhile, Mansfield’s Bonnie Toogood produced a game of the highest quality in Essendon’s hard-fought loss to Geelong.

Carlton kept its finals hopes alive with a 27-point win over St Kilda and Benalla’s Keeley Skepper contributed strongly with 11 disposals and three tackles.
