AFL Victoria believes it may have the solution with a school holiday football program.
The event will be held at Deakin Reserve on Monday, April 14.
Before the cold, dark months of winter set in, AFL Victoria participation co-ordinator Kevin Monaghan encouraged parents to get their children out of the house with some engaging activities.
"Week two of school holidays is kicking off with a bang,“ Monaghan said.
“This holiday program is designed to keep kids active and entertained, offering a variety of engaging activities that cater to children of all interests.
“From outdoor games and sports to arts and crafts, participants will have the chance to explore their creativity and make new friends in a safe, supervised environment.”
The program will be run from 9am to 3pm, with football being the main course to keep the juniors engaged.
Monaghan said registrations were still open for parents to sign their kids up for an action-packed day of activities.
“Don’t miss out on this fantastic opportunity to give your child a holiday to remember,” he said.
“Join us for a day of fun, laughter and new adventures at Deakin Reserve.
“We look forward to seeing you there."
