Race 2, No.6 — Astropop: A first starter from the Daryl Archard camp. Finished second just half a length from the winner in her most recent trial. Drawn the “car park”, but with even luck, can be in the finish.
Race 2, No.13 — Endeavour Blue: Another first starter, trained by Tayne Foster. No trial form, one to watch for any market moves.
Race 5, No. 2 — Outlaw Ned: From the Mick Cornish/Donna Gaskin team. Racing very well with a win and two seconds in his last three runs. Handles the soft, will run the trip and races near the speed, all positives and can win.
Race 5, No. 7 — Super Quick Love: Another Archard runner, this time trained by Rhys. Has been close up in his last two runs, doesn’t want the track to be too heavy, will be there about again, each way
Race 5, No. 8 — Cost of Devotion: A Cornish/Gaskin runner. Forgive last start when over raced on the speed, well drawn to get a good run, form prior is good enough, can go close.
Race 6, No. 3 — Reggae Roc: Another Rhys Archard runner, the wetter the better for him. Drawn well, will race handy and is another with each-way claims in an open race.
Race 7, No. 2 — Burning the Clock: Ivan Lister trained gelding who is racing in good form. Good jockey engagement, slight rise in class, but will be prominent. Another who can win.
Race 7, No. 10 — Bob’s Relish: Trained by Jimmy Lake, was sensational first up, but done little since. Good barrier and jockey, looking for an improved performance, one at odds perhaps.
Best of the day: Tapo in Race 1, with strong chances to Outlaw Ned and Burning the Clock
