GVL, PDNL claim titles, while MNL makes two grand finals at Albury event

Goulburn Valley League's representative netball teams have made a successful appearance at Netball Victoria's North East Association Championships, with the 15-and-under division two side going through the competition undefeated.

The league entered three teams, with the division two team, coached by Courtney Aldous and assistant coach Ellie Oâ€™Sullivan, knocking off Netball Wodonga White 18-8 in the grand final.

The 15-and-under division one team, coached by Kristy Roulston and assistant coach Meagan Harrison, made it to the semi-finals after winning five games, losing two and drawing three.

It was defeated by Wodonga Netball in the semi-final 9-7.

The 17-and-under team, coached by Di Hanslow and assistant coach Bree Hanslow, won all matches bar one in the heats.

In the grand final the team triumphed over Murray Netball League 16-11.

The MNL also made it through to the grand final in the 13-and-under grade, with the side losing to host association Albury, 4-13.

The Picola District Netball League 13-and-under division two side had better luck, coming away with the title 11-6 against Shepparton Netball Association.
