Tyler Larkin has signed with his former club as leader and mentor for the next two Cricket Shepparton campaigns, returning from a stint of over 100 Victorian Premier Cricket firsts and seconds matches with Geelong.
"He has committed to return to the club as coach for the next two years," CPSTB president Darryl Butcher said.
"He's returning up here for work and family reasons and we've been fortunate enough to secure his services."
Larkin made one Haisman Shield appearance for the Tigers last summer and made a sparkling 94 - showcasing the ability on the field he will bring to Deakin Reserve as well as his leadership experience.
"Hopefully his experience can translate into helping our junior development as well as our senior sides," Butcher said.
"His family connection is very strong with the club. He played his junior cricket with us and then went on to bigger and better things.
"It's great to see Tyler come back to the club and help contribute to its success."
Larkin is a multiple premiership winner with the Tigers, and compiled 350 runs last season for Geelong in 14 firsts and three seconds appearances.
Across 104 innings' for the Cats, Larkin passed the half-century mark 20 times and went on to triples figures twice.
