The Bulldogs currently sit in seventh spot with three-and-a-half wins and are half-a-game behind Shepparton, which holds sixth position.
Tatura coach Georgia Ryan said she was expecting a tough clash with the Tigers in round nine action.
“It will be a very tough game,” Ryan said.
“It should be a very competitive game.
“Whichever individuals stand up and whichever team utilises all its players the best, will come out the winner.”
Ryan said Rochester's attacking end would be hard to stop.
“They have a strong attacking end, so we will try and shut that down, but also focus on ourselves and see how we go,” she said.
While her team wasn't at its best last week, Ryan was just glad to get away with the four points.
“We had a win on the weekend, but we weren’t all together as we would have liked,” Ryan said.
“Hopefully we are more cohesive this weekend.
“Jess Gould was back in last weekend for the first time after breaking her hand in round two.
“It was good to have her back in after quite a few rounds.”
Tatura's ability to get into the top six will potentially be made easier with the Bears up against third-placed Mooroopna.
Shepparton will be looking to cause an upset on its own court and record win number five of the campaign.
Mooroopna, on the other hand, will have a chance to move into the top two if Echuca slips up in the top-of-the-table clash with Shepparton United or if the Demons lose and the Cats record a percentage boosting win.
Another team looking for the Bears’ spot in the six is Benalla, which will be looking to record its fourth win when it tackles Euroa at home.
Unlike Tatura, the Saints don't have the benefit of a draw to their name and will have to win big to overtake the Bears on percentage.
The Magpies will be after their second victory of the season.
Currently, the Pies have a win and a draw from eight matches.
After going down to United last weekend, reigning premier Seymour will be looking to bounce back when it hosts Mansfield.
The Lions will be expected to take the four points, as they search for win six, compared to the Eagles, who are looking for their second victory.
Finally, Shepparton Swans will also be after a sixth win and to close in on the top three when they take on winless Kyabram.
