A strong home crowd flocked to spur the Bulls on in round six of the Victorian Rugby Premiership, but it wasn’t to be for Sonny Tahuriorangi’s side as Eltham ran away with the game 38-6.
Six tries to none flattered the visiting side, with the Bulls coming close throughout the 80 minutes.
But Eltham’s back line was anything but supine, and refused to cave despite Shepparton's waves of attack.
While there weren’t any tries to celebrate for the home fans, there was plenty of noise nonetheless as former playing coach Jeremy Solofa suited up in the famous green and blue once again.
Tahuriorangi will be hoping for more old faces to return with the season reaching its midway point this Saturday, and seeing as the Bulls are yet to taste a win in the state’s premier grade in 2021, the Shepparton side certainly won’t be turning away numbers.
Now Tahuriorangi’s charges turn their attention to Northern Panthers.
They are heading to C.H Sullivan Memorial Park for what is sure to be another challenge, but with the Panthers registering just one win this season, the Bulls should feel as if they have nothing to lose on Saturday.
