The club's summer season finishes with Thursday's grand final, but with a winter competition to come and the inter-town competition in its infancy, club president Christian Lecompte said the club was always on the lookout for new members.
“We have three seasons a year and the winter season will start in the next couple of weeks,” Lecompte said.
“We played the Hopman Cup regional tournament recently at MSAC and we have struggled to have enough women and junior players, so our focus in the second half of the year will be building up our junior and women players.
“We are also providing clinics for Year 8 students at the Greater Shepparton Secondary College.
“We provide two or three of those a week and the teachers bring down the students and we show them the basics.
“We also provide vouchers to those who are keen to come down and have a hit and hopefully we can develop the champions of the future.”
The club is also preparing to host an international tournament in late July and one member is on a recruiting drive while competing across the Tasman.
“We're hoping to get some New Zealanders across,” Lecompte said.
“Ben Ratcliffe has come up through the juniors and now competes on the professional circuit.
“He's currently competing in New Zealand and is wording them up to come across while we still have a Trans-Tasman bubble.”
