The Goulburn Valley League reigning premier will be without star forward Brad Mangan for the remainder of the season.
Mangan, a 100-game stalwart at the Bombers, has missed the past two games after he went down with a knee injury in round three.
Scans have confirmed the dual premiership player has ruptured his ACL and will be sidelined until next year.
The heartbreaking news was confirmed by Kyabram co-coach Mick Mattingly on Thursday.
“Brad will miss the rest of the year with a knee injury. Unfortunately, it's an ACL,” Mattingly said.
“He told the group the other night. We are all rallying around him and will support him.
“You can't replace someone of his quality out on the field. He'll be missed, that's for sure.
“But Brad has said he's keen to stay involved and will help out on the sidelines this year.”
Unfortunately for Mattingly and co, the key outs continue to roll through for the powerhouse club.
Forward maestro Kyle Mueller is set for two weeks off the field after he was handed a two-match suspension for striking.
The gun talent has 21 majors to his name from five rounds and leads the competition's goal-kicking.
“We'll miss Kyle, he's one of, if not the most dangerous forwards in the comp,” Mattingly said.
“But we get Hayden Gemmill back in after a week off and he'll help out up forward.”
The Bombers, fresh off a loss to Seymour, welcome Benalla to their home deck.
It is a cut-throat game for both clubs, with the victor to hold a spot inside the top-four.
“We're looking forward to what will be another hard-fought game,” Mattingly said.
“Obviously they (Benalla) have picked up Sammy (Martyn) who is a very handy midfielder. Their midfield is up there with the best and we know they have a dangerous forward line.
“We need to get back to playing our style of footy. We just seem to switch off during matches.
“If we focus on what we can do then hopefully the rest should take care of itself.”
