The Swans led from start to finish to win 50-31, with a 15-7 lead at quarter time the catalyst for the victory.
Tiarna Steele, Erin Hopkins and Klarinda Hudson were named the Swans’ best, while Laura Kilpatrick, Laura Ryan and Taylor Rokahr stood out for the Bulldogs in the loss.
Swans’ coach Jana Bruinier said the aim was to start fast and she was pleased with the result.
“Our aim was start with high intensity and carry that through,” Bruinier said.
“We felt like the last five minutes we didn’t continue that intensity, but it put us in a good position for the remainder of the match.”
Shepparton United proved too good for Mooroopna, winning 57-32 at Deakin Reserve.
Georgia Walpole, Laura Cole and Olivia Kirby were named United's best, while Maddie Wong, Dayna Williams and Paigan Impey stood up for the Cats in the loss.
Echuca took the chocolates in its clash with Rochester.
The Murray Bombers set up the 53-37 win by scoring 32-15 across the second and third quarters.
Belinda Lees, Lauren Jones and Jacquie James were named best for the victors, while the Tigers’ best were Bridgette Holt, Eloise Cuttriss and Madison Egglestone.
Shepparton proved too good for Kyabram, winning 57-28.
Morgan Gibson, Hannah Crawley and Erin Scott were the Bears’ best.
Kyabram was best served by Shani Clark, Alyssa Trebilcock and Eesha Clarke.
Seymour moved into fifth spot with a win over Euroa.
The Lions won 32-24.
