The Redlegs moved to 3-0 in the Kyabram District League A-grade season with a comfortable victory over Longwood on Saturday.
Tallygaroopna remains atop of the ladder after taking care of Longwood 60-23 in the round three battle.
The playing coach emphasised the enjoyment factor had played a large role in her side's undefeated start.
“Being undefeated is nice, but our main focus has been getting out and enjoying netball again after a year off,” Down said.
“I think that it's (enjoyment) really important for our players after they missed out last year.
“And whatever comes, be it wins, is a bonus for us.”
Down was pleased with how her side began the match against a spirited Longwood.
“Our first half was really solid,” she said.
“Longy have improved, which is great to see, and they put up a tough fight. Our connections continued to flow which was nice to see, especially when we swapped some positions around.”
Experienced defender Bree Giles has been a standout for Tally in the opening rounds, while midcourter Claudia Callagher has continued her terrific form in 2019.
And the emergence of Ebony Grace, combined with the strong efforts from Cienna Halden has Tally in great shape for the rest of the season.

The Hoppers powered past the reigning premier, Stanhope, in an emphatic 65-39 triumph.
“It was such an amazing team effort. I couldn't fault one player,” Hoppers coach Jenni McCluskey said.
“Stanhope have been the benchmark in the competition for a long time and to walk away with a win is just an amazing result. I couldn't be prouder of the girls.”
Girgarre secured its third straight win after edging out a determined Violet Town.
The Kangaroos finished the game two goals ahead of the Towners in a thrilling 40-38 encounter.
Nagambie returned from the bye in superb fashion and brushed aside Undera 51-23.
Shepparton East and Dookie United ran out big winners over Rushworth (56-32) and Lancaster (51-38) respectively.
