Exports stand out in Geelong's first win of AFLW season

Geelong's Becky Webster and Julia Crockett-Grills helped the Cats record their only win of the AFLW season in the weekend's final home and away match.

Benalla's Webster had 14 touches, which included her kicking 1.1, while Kyabram's Crockett-Grills picked up 15 disposals and four tackles in the 6.5 (41) to 3.6 (24) victory over Gold Coast.

Mansfield's Bonny Toogood kicked 1.1 in the Western Bulldogs’ 13-point win over Richmond.

Toogood's tally came from 12 disposals and she also grabbed three marks.

Shepparton's Grace Egan did the hard yards for Carlton, laying six tackles as the Blues knocked off the Giants by one point.

Egan also had seven kicks and five handballs.

Fellow Shepparton product Angela Foley also had a win, as her Crows flew to the top of the ladder at the expense of Collingwood.

Foley had 12 touches, took three marks and laid three tackles in the 4.7 (31) to 2.5 (17) win.

● In the VFLW, Kate Adams kicked a goal as Port Melbourne continued its unbeaten season by defeating Essendon by 11 points.

Bomber Eloise Ashley-Cooper was named in her side's best.

North Melbourne recorded its second win of the season with Reni Hicks named in the best players.

The four-point win moves the Kangaroos equal on points with the Seagulls after five matches.
