However, the challenge of beating the Stingrays is not lost on assistant coach Mario de Santa-ana.
“They are a very strong side in the competition,” he said.
“They are currently sitting in fourth and have some very good top-end talent.
“We are expecting a real tough day.
“We will need to match them in terms of running, as they transition the ball really well.
“Our effort needs to be at a high level to be competitive.
“They have some really talented forwards and a strong midfield.
“If we bring high effort and high intensity, we are in with a bit of chance I think if we bring that for four quarters.”
Making the challenge more difficult will be the loss of some of the region's players to higher honours and injury.
“Every week we have a new look to our side,” de Santa-ana said.
“That's the nature of the NAB competition.
“Shepparton United's Aurora Smith will miss with under-19 Vic Country commitments, we've lost Molly Kennedy, also from Shepp United, to Vic Country netball trials and Seymour's Chloe Locke has been ruled out with a corky.
“They are three big outs for us as they have been consistent performers for us this season.”
Shepparton United duo Kasey Boschetti and Areaka Bamblett will help fill the void.
“It will be Areaka Bamblett's debut,” de Santa-ana said.
“Her home club is Shepparton United, but she resides at Caulfield Grammar and she has finished her rowing commitments with the school and is now available for the rest of the season.”
Other Bushrangers, Shepparton Swans’ Maddy Gray and United's Keeley Skepper have been selected in the Vic Country under-17 squad.
