Mooroopna product Clayton Oliver and Katamatite's Tom Clurey notched their 100th AFL appearance at the weekend.
Oliver enjoyed a 22-point win over Fremantle at the MCG on Saturday, with the Melbourne star at his usual damaging best.
The 23-year-old, who is an All-Australian and two-time best-and-fairest winner, racked up 35 disposals and seven clearances as the Dees saluted 11.14 (80) to 8.10 (58).
Oliver got the last laugh on Seymour's David Mundy (19 disposals) and Moama's Lachie Schultz (one goal).
And for Clurey, his Port Adelaide teammates delivered him a memorable win over North Melbourne.
The Power thrashed their opponents to the tune of 52 points at Marvel Stadium.
Clurey was rock solid in defence and finished the game with 12 disposals, six intercepts and three contested marks.
The 27-year-old defender made his debut in 2014 and has become a mainstay in the Power's backline.
Echuca's Ollie Wines (30 disposals), Benalla's Tom Rockliff (11) and Deniliquin's Todd Marshall (two goals) all contributed strongly in the win.
Rochester's Shaun Atley (20 disposals) and Mooroopna's Jy Simpkin (23 and six tackles) waved the flag for the Roos in the loss.
Mooroopna export Laitham Vandermeer lit up the field in the Western Bulldogs’ 16-point win over Collingwood.
The excitement machine booted two goals and wowed onlookers with his ferocious intensity around the contest.
Vandermeer did look in discomfort after tangling up with a teammate in the third term, but played out the remainder of the match.
Teammate and Kialla product Alex Keath was important down back for the Dogs.
The defender tallied up 18 disposals, nine marks and eight intercepts in the win.
Euroa's Jamie Elliott led the way for Collingwood and registered two goals to his name.
Shepparton product Jordon Butts was a standout for Adelaide in its stirring win over Geelong.
Butts was instrumental in defence and limited the input of Geelong's gun forwards as the Crows held on for a thrilling 12-point win.
Finley's Tom Hawkins managed two majors for the Cats.
Katandra export David Teague came close to kicking the season off with a bang on Thursday night.
The Carlton coach and his charges suffered a 25-point defeat to reigning premier Richmond.
Shepparton product Jarman Impey and Benalla's Harry Morrison tallied up 20 touches each as Hawthorn survived a nail-biting one-point win over Essendon.
Invergordon's Lachie Ash (21 touches, five inside 50s) and Echuca's Sam Reid were unable to lift GWS over the line against St Kilda.
And Shepparton's Will Brodie (18 disposals) and Kyabram's Nick Holman (nine) could not guide Gold Coast to victory over West Coast.
