Two-time reigning premier Nightcliff fronts up against latest challenger, St Mary's, in Saturday's Northern Territory Football League men's premier grand final.
And the premiership decider will have a host of exports from the Goulburn Valley go head-to-head.
Shepparton and former Nathalia and Picola junior Tom Boyd, Tongala pair Cam Ilett and Jack Hammond, along with ex-Shepparton United duo Daniel Bowles and Brodie Filo will square off against Tatura's Brandyn Grenfell.
Nightcliff coach and Picola product Chris Baksh — the master behind the Tigers’ past two flags — highlighted how special a third consecutive title would be for the Tiger faithful.
“The club was starved of success for so long before (the first one), so to win three for all the supporters would be really nice,” Baksh said.
“It would mean so much to a lot of people.
“But we know that we face a really big test against St Mary's. The Saints won't hand it to us.
“They are a very proud club, well-structured and have got plenty of experience, so we'll need to be on our toes.”
Nightcliff holds a 2-1 lead over St Mary's from three appearances this season, with the Tigers scraping over the line by nine points in round 13.
Playing conditions that day were described by Baksh as the "wettest game" and "you couldn't see the other side of the ground".
Fortunately, the weather is set to be clear, but the dew will settle in before the bounce at 6.45pm.
“Everyone at the club is really excited for this weekend,” Baksh said.
“The boys were very positive, worked hard and looked good out on the track this week. We had a full squad to pick from in the semi-final which is always nice.
“We feel really balanced and we had a solid hit-out during the week off. We are keen to get out there on Saturday night.”
● In other NTFL grand final action, two Nathalia products will be looking to steer Pint to premiership success.
Reni Hicks and Gemma Cusack get a shot at delivering Pint's supporters a flag when they take on Darwin.
And in men's division one action, a string of exports helped Banks book a grand final berth against Pint.
Shepparton's Jack Bell, Rumbalara's Kyal Atkinson, Berrigan's Will Robinson, Kyabram's Jack Castles and Moama's Jye Warren performed well in the 50-point preliminary final win over Nightcliff.
The quintet will clash heads against Tatura's Matt and Brad Ryan and Andrew Ciavarella.
