Teng becomes the latest of the Kuol brothers to sign with a professional outfit, following the footsteps of brothers Alou and Garang who now don the yellow and navy of Central Coast Mariners.
Before his departure, Teng served under the tutelage of Suns coach Craig Carley, who lauded the efforts of all those who’ve had a hand in his development.
“This is brilliant news and I’m delighted for Teng and his family on the move,” Carley said.
“Teng has really matured as a footballer in the senior environment and I believe his game has certainly gone from strength to strength by playing and training with the senior squad at the club.
“As always, credit goes out to technical director Billy Marshall, all the coaching team and previous junior coaches who have nurtured Teng along his football journey.”
The move means Teng will compete in the National Premier League Three competition for Victory’s youth set-up.
It comes after a meteoric rise through the Suns’ ranks since first throwing on the orange jersey.
Two years ago the malleable youngster turned heads with 22 goals for the under-16s.
More recently, he plied his trade along the defensive line for the Suns’ senior outfit during pre-season.
His career advancement marks the latest in a line of prospects utilising the Suns as a springboard to reach football's elite level — adding to the club's success story which Carley is immensely proud of.
“Teng has put in some impressive, mature displays during the pre-season schedule and I have no doubt he will continue to improve as a player,” he said.
“The club, in my opinion, now has a solid reputation for producing locally-grown talent and providing a platform for players to excel at an elite level.
“This is further proof that the club continues to push in the right direction and I am very proud of the direction we are heading.”
