His own.
This week the Shepparton wonderkid was nominated for yet another grail — the A-League’s Young Player of the Year — for his February exploits.
The award is given to an under-23 A-League player judged by a panel of experts to be the best young performer throughout the season.
Previous recipients include Arsenal goalkeeper Mat Ryan, Manchester City loanee Daniel Arzani and current A-League golden boot holder Jamie McLaren.
Now Kuol’s name is being thrown into the pot — and after going through his rap sheet from February, it’s clear to see why.
Throughout last month Kuol registered three goals and one assist from four matches.
He started exactly zero of those games.
Among the goals was a masterful headed brace against Western United — the month’s main attraction — which rocketed Kuol atop of the league’s goal-scoring charts.
But more importantly, it gave Australia another sample of the extraordinary tale exploding out of Gosford.
It’s clear to see the country is now craving more.
On Monday night, Kuol had a 20-strong gang of children mimicking him as he warmed up for the Central Coast Mariners.
The 19-year-old then kept the parade going, setting up his side’s second goal as it toppled Macarthur FC to go seven points clear at the top of the ladder.
The Kuol show didn’t stop there; his cult status somehow bolstered even further after the whistle sounded.
During the Mariners’ auction of its players’ match-worn Pink Round jerseys on Monday night, Kuol’s jersey went under the hammer for $2750 — more than doubling the next successful sale total.
Whether he is yet a hero or not, two factors are irrefutable.
Kuol is putting Shepparton on the map, one way or another.
Secondly, and most importantly, he isn’t leaving the professional scene anytime soon.
