The club's division three outfit — its only side in the midweek competition — went into the grand final against Shepparton Park as the underdog, but reigned supreme on the day.
Hayden Crilly, Ken Hoppner (third), David Grant (second) and Teena Harris (lead) were in fine form at Euroa to claim a 30-18 triumph, with Jenny Crilly, Jono Thorne, Hans Schmidt and Debbie Hoye also winning 25-19.
Parker Wes Gibbs skipped a victorious rink against Jamie Stokes, Brian Stokes, Ron Luker and Sue Robinson, but the Stanhope quartet limited the damage to help its side win the contest, 73-63.
“It was a really good win,” Jenny Crilly said.
“We probably were the underdogs because Shepp Park were on top all year, so we had nothing to lose.
“We were probably a bit further in front early on, but they came back at us a bit and we had a big enough lead and held it.
“Hayden had a ripping win and we won by six, the other rink went down, but it's a team effort and we all contributed.”
After finishing third on the table, Stanhope had to earn the flag — as well as promotion back into division two — the hard way, defeating Kyabram and Mooroopna Golf in cut-throat clashes before handing the Parkers their second defeat of the campaign.
“This is our only side in midweek,” Crilly said.
“We were up there (division two), but finished on the bottom a few years ago and went to three, so now we're back up there.
“It will be good to get to that next standard of bowls again.”
