The Jets powered past their round-13 opponents to the tune of eight wickets at Tallygaroopna Recreation Reserve.
It was the outfit's fourth-straight win, lifting them into fourth spot, ahead of their first week of finals clash against Waaia.
“It was a very good team effort out in the field and then the top-order did the job with the bat,” Northerners’ coach Steve Allen said.
“I thought our fielding was terrific, we finished with five run outs, and to chase their target only two wickets down was a real solid effort.
“We knew we needed to win to play finals and to do that was very pleasing.”
Karramomus elected to bat first and posted 145 runs from 44.5 overs.
The Bloods looked in all sorts early in the piece, however, the visitors were able to rally together.
The Jets’ Harvey Walker collected two unassisted run outs, while Josh Sidebottom (2-30) was the only multiple wicket-taker for the hosts.
“We had Karra about five wickets down for 40 odd and we put them under pressure,” Allen said.
“But to their credit they batted really well to reach a good target.”
However, it was always going to be a tough job for the Bloods to restrict a red-hot Northerners outfit.
Opening bat and skipper Mitch Brett (57 runs) crafted a classy unbeaten half century, while Andrew Boyington (47 not out) chipped in with a superb support act.
The duo put on 99 runs for the third wicket and guided their side to a stunning win in the 27th over.
“It was great to see Andrew come back in and play an important role for the side,” Allen said.
“Him and Mitch put the pressure back on Karra after they got a couple of quick wickets. And Mitch again batted with responsibility and led from the front.
“It's the second week now that he's batted through the innings and it's what you like to see from your captain.”
